On street level
“On Street Level” is a representation of my interest in acknowledging the marginalized members of the Brisbane community who are currently experiencing homelessness.
I enjoy engaging in conversation with them and learning from their stories. I attempt to capture the complexity of their experiences and photograph them in a way that brings light and de-stigmatize the harmful stereotypes attached to them. I am interested in starting a conversation on how those, so often perceived in a negative light, can regain their sense of agency. I am constantly looking for ways to expose and platform untold narratives.
Always was. Always will be.
A super personal project of mine, stemming from the indigenous ancestry on my father’s side. I’ve been interested in exploring and expanding the culture of storytelling in both a contemporary and personalised sense through my photographs.
to see, to be seen
Photography is inherently a voyeuristic endeavour, interrupting moments in time and in the lives of others. I’m mainly interested in capturing moments that seem pervading. Functioning within the concept of ‘sonder’ these deceptively mundane moments in life fulfill my desire to capture a pure essence of moments in time that should not be forgotten or go unseen.
